That's the same size as the scratch built that I just RE-kitted a few weeks ago.

PING. Just keeping it on the home page. WHO MADE IT is becoming very interesting to me. A true "name the plane" contest.

Great imac machines and light. Mine wieghs 20lbs with a zdz 80b2 and lots of carbon fiber..I am now working on the blue one since I lost the red one last week due to a faulty rx.

Your yellow and blue has "Bill Denner" on it.
Bill built my One Design. Kept it for himself for a couple of years, Sold it to another guy who I bought it from. Bill used to be a member of my club and last I heard he still lives here is Virginia. He is one of the best scratch builders I have had the pleasure of knowing. Unfortunatley mine went in about a month ago also due to an AR7000 deciding not to respond anymore.

I never met bill... I got these off a friend who bought them at perry georgia from bill I guess.. He also built a beautiful ohio sukhoi that my friend bought as well. These two planes are the best built planes I ever owned. The red one had his name on it as well and,"indy damnbeenie"?? They were built and set up, covered, and decaled exactly the same and labled #1 and#2. I only got one season out of my red one until I lost it recently due the the xps 2.4 system. Almost got the blue one ready now. What a small world it is..

Hey Rick...I built both of those planes. They were my last 2 of 8 built. I sold them at Perry Ga.. Both had ZDZ 80's. The red and white one had 6 flights on it and the blue and yellow had 3 flights when I sold them. I'm glad you like them. The wings were a little different to build...Because of their laminar flow airfoil It was a challenge to build them straight because the high point on the airfoil was just a tad BEHIND the main spar, so you couldn't just pin the bottom spar down on the plans to build the panel or when you picked it up to sheet the leading edge on the bottom the spar would be sticking up about a 32nd of an inch...After my first one, I built a special jig to build the wing.
I'm sorry you lost the red and white one...I feel your pain

Dang, Tom...You too? Sorry you lost your 107. Thank you for your kind words...I still kickin...and buildin...living in Prince Goerge, VA. I used to belong to MVRC but after 09/11/01 when Ft. Lee shut our field down, I joined CVA in Williamsburg, VA and I'm still flying there. I really miss those 107's...specially the last 2... It was a difficult decision to sell them. I did it to finance a special warbird project, that never really materialized.
Bill

Don't rightly recall the AUW. It was built to fly IMAC. I did not bevel both sides of the control surfaces. and if memory serves me, the 'rons were not extended far enough into the prop wash to be effective in slow 3D flight maneuvers.
