OK the plane I just bought has never been finished and the tank is in the bottom of the fuselage behind the wing tube should the tank be over the wing tube or in front of it for the CG of the plane when full tank.

From there, you will have a spot to place the tank. Ideally, you want the tank situated right over the CG, so that during flight, you won't have a shift in CG when the tank empties. This will happen if the tank is placed either in front of or behind the CG and could create a trim change towards the end of the flight. Wayne |

I'm guessing, NOT behind the wing tube.

Your CG placement is 111 mm to 115 mm from the leading edge this looks like one of the planes that I have which is a Sig extra 300 XL I am using a Saito 1.80 with a 2000 mAh battery pack. I can if this is the same type aircraft and manufacturer send you some pictures of my set up. Correct me if I am wrong but has this plane crashed before damaging the cowl and wheel pants? Or did you primer them yourself? Also the wing tube is not standard on this aircraft.
