Couple tips,
I just maidened my first carden this weekend, On the wing if you put the root cap on first sand it flush then sheet you get a stronger joint and you get rid of seams and potential wrinkles in the covering. Good luck with the kit, hope you enjoyed it as much as i did.

Yep not much glue on the hinges all about one drop I think if any at all. I am geting ready to sheet the wings tonight and sand and cut the ailerons out. and sand them. will take a few more Pictures as I go.

Sorry no updates I had some surgery on a hernia do have one of the wing halfs sheeted I will send a picture when I can get to my computer I am using my black berry.

OK Back on the build now I have glued the leading and trailing ends on the wing. started to razor plane them. it is starting to look like a wing now.

OK I have the leading and trailing edges to shape and ready for sanding. Also have cutout the Aileron and started glueing the leadind edge on to it. when it dries overnight I will bevel the edges for the hinge line. I noticed a slight bow of the trailing edge aileron. Anyone have a suggestion on that or is it normal with such a long surface?

Started on frame construction as well I would like this to go a little faster but you cannot rush this stuff. you make too many mistakes if you get iin a rush. Did anyone put a solid peice of balsa in the wing stb support on the frame instead of the 3/8" cross brace?

Hey Red The plane is looking like its going good. Can't wait to see it at the field. I,m glad that you got your Carden replaced. I guess the one we got they decided to glue. We had to do some gluing and extra bracing but these planes really fly great. Justin said its like flying a foamy. I'll keep check on your build, keep it coming.
