So I am looking at getting a 40%er for IMAC only
I would be using ZDZ 160 Champion hitec 7955's all around. And a123 batteries. So ill be asking tons of questions frist is can i get away with two servos per wing panel i wont be doing any 3d with it? Danny |

if you are looking for a specific imac model the Dalton Aviation Mark Leseberg edition 42% Extra 300 is the way to go. it is 8 inches longer in the fuse than the standard and made into a pattern ship! this is by far the best sequence plane on the market. it's downfall is the 3D area. it was never intended to be a 3D beast, it is too long. for what is sounds like you are after there isn't a better choice out there!!!!!!!!
good luck.

yeah my choices are the dalton 300 ML, Godfrey 300 or (when it comes out) Extreme flight 123'' 300 but i have a small extra for freestyle so im looking to keep cost and weight down but still have a great Imac competion airplane.

obviously i'm all about the dalton as i stated earlier... but... since you mentioned it, if you are going with an arf the EF big extra will probably be the choice! mr. hinson just gets it done right!
again, the self built dalton = perfection...... but the EF certainly wouldn't be a bad decision when time is considered!

my mel300 dalton has 2 7955's in ea. aileron. i had my builder cut out three servo holes just in case but i am only using 2.... that will be just fine. i have one in ea. elev and 2 (tail mounted) for the rudder.... this will definitely suffice for imac performance!

Sweet I might do freestyle but it wont be like ML hard fast rollers or tons of hard rolling manuvers but will see I am going to shoot for 30-32lbs. i dont like hovering though the plane will have tons of power with a canister set up.

That works. If I get a kit i will prolly have someone build it for me and maybe cover it.

I'd go with the EF 123" Extra 300. It would be a great choice for IMAC and Freestyle. The Dalton 300 is a great plane as well, but I'd go with the EF.
The Quality and looks are the best on the planet, and the flight preformance is more versitile than the Dalton. Just my 2 cents. You won't be disappointed with either. |
