Default Prop Sound.

Hi.

I have a question. I like the sound that produce my Zinger prop. I know that prop its so bad. I will change the prop.

I know many people here some times are worry about the sound because is an issue in somes club with sound restrictions.
Thanks to god in my club i have no problem and we dont need canisters.

Witch prop have a nice sound without sacrifice the power?

I have 2 airplanes. AW 35% with a DA-100 and a GP PW Extra 25% with a DL-50.

Try the Vess props I have had really good luck with them. My DA-50 w a KS1060 pipe is running the Vess 23B at 7200rpm. Personally that is the only prop I use.

Uhm your don't say what size prop your using ....an 8" x 6 pitch can be some what loud on a DA100 ....LOL J/k
Have you tacked your prop? you might be able to go higher in pitch / dia or you can try a 3 blades they're a lot easier on the ears if your maxed out on a two

Actually i have a 22B prop ready to use. The only reason for dont use the prop yet was the screws are to shorts using the Tru-turn spinner. i have get new screws for test that prop.

And what about Carbon props? for my DA-100? I have a PT Model 27 X 10 prop righ now and it does not make noise.

I only use 3 blades for IMAC. The two blade prop allows the engine to spool up quicker and hold a higher rpm.

Yea 3's ok for IMAC but with 3D its nice to know you have that extra speed on pick up if you get into the smelly stuff

Actually nope its not FOR the torque. a 3 blade produces more torque than a 2 blade but the engine can turn a 2 blade faster cuz it produces less torque.
Its about prop torque versus engine torque.

Low pitch = More RPM in less time. High Pitch = More torque but more time to get rpm?

3 blades = More pitch in comparation with 2 blades?

I know all depend the combination of engine and prop size too.
