My weight came in at 16lbs, 4oz. Is that good for this plane? I am thinking of getting carbon fiber wing and stab tubes, but they might have to wait.

What did you put in it, all of mine come out under 15% and I am flying a heavy motor and 2 lipos for the receiver which are heaver than my normal 2 cell LiIons.

Just the basics. Hitec servos, DL 50, 1 Lipo on RX, 1 lipo on ignition, 2 switches and that is it. On the instructions for weight is has 15 to 18lbs. I wonder why yours is so light.

Probably because I put a BME 58 in it this time, it is 13oz lighter than the DL, Also could be the nut behind the wheel.

I balanced it tonight and came out at 4 1/4". The manual says 3 3/4" is where it should be. Do you think this is too tail heavy to start off with? Should I add some weight to the nose that I can remove later?
Thanks for the help. |

If you are a seasoned fliers don't add a thing, if this is Your first big plane but have been flying smaller for a long time, there are many variables. Give me a call and I can ask a few pointed questions and point you in the right directions on balance. My number is on the contact page on the website.
