TUCSON AEROBATIC SHOOTOUT week starts NOW!!!

FG is arriving on Wednesday and will start to cover the event as soon as we possibly can!
I think I may take a trip to DA and do a little picture/video log of what we find.

Then it' straight to the field to get as much coverage of the 2008 Tucson Aerobatic shootout as possible!

Top start the week off, lets take a look at the 2008 Raffle plane:

Once again many sponsors stepped up to donate their time and product for this years raffle plane.
For this year the plane is a Composite Arf Yak 55.
This plane is ready to fly and also comes with a Fromeco charger, Plane Wrappers cover, and Carden wing and stab bags. Here is a list of whats in the plane

The entire plane was painted by Clint Sweet back in Florida. Clint has done alot of work for me over the years and he stepped up once again on this project. Be sure to keep all of these sponsors in mind during your next hobby purchase as they are helping to support the hobby that we all love. It takes a huge amount of volunteer hours and money to put this contest on each year and the money raised from the raffle helps to support the event.

Tickets will only be sold at the event and you do not have to be present to win so if you want a chance give your buddy so cash and have him buy some tickets for you. Or hope on a plane and get out to Tucson. I will post the cost of tickets on Monday.

OK I just rolled into town and done a sneak unannounced raid on the DA boys. Bloody strewth they have some things going on there. As for that YAK well buy up tickets as much as you like guys. I had a look at it its just beautiful. That cowling is a Russo signature series if I ever seen one. If you find peices of my lower jaw on the cement floor you will understand what I mean when I say WOW!!!!!!!!!

I will get my butt out to Timpa in the morning for some pre event shots and hopefully a couple of video interveiws. Nothing to techy until Steve gets here Wednesday but something to wet the taste buds for you guys at the very least.

Weather today is CAVU with winds around the 15 mph mark. Thats in town and not at the field and I have no idea if it blows harder out that way than here in suburbia.

Thats a NICE airplane damn....... and on freestyle I don't know i think most pilots are going to come out with something different meaning new music and freestyle then last year so its up in the air right now.
