Default R 56 Z Canopy glue

Hey there guys Just need some hlpe I have recently use tHis glue on 3 other planes at different times and have noticed drying time to be verry long, But dd eventually go off
Now the bottle is about 1 year old and have recently used it on another canopy and It hasnt gone off and its been 4 days, There is bits in pieces that have gone off but not 100% yet
Should i be worried.??

unless u put it a 2 inch thick sorry but bad news mate

looks like it is spoiled get the glue off now clean it up and get some new glue

Your glue will dry just fine. If it was old, it thickened in the bottle some, so it came out of the bottle thicker (like RTV silicone) so you must have had to put it on thick, therefore the added drying time. It will harden in a few days.

thanks mate I was getting worried for a second each day alittle more goes off, So its getting there, i did stir the bottle up before i applied though But will give it some more time and tomorrow i will put the canopy in the sun just to help it out some

A little update, Today I hit the canopy with a bit of Heat( Heat gun ) very ightly just to help it out,
Seams that the white spots are Nearly off i tried tugging at the canopy and is super strong just hasnt gone clear yet...

That stuff doesn't seem to have a very long shelf life. In the R&D dept. at Great Planes, there are about five or six of us who each have our own bottle of RC/56. We don't use it much, but seems like whenever one of us does need to use it we have to run around checking with everybody else to see who has a fresh bottle. It's good stuff, just doesn't seem to last a long time in the bottle before it thickens too much. That's probably what happened to you.
