Sure, in 3D it feels like overkill. But how about full throttle knife edge?
Do you have the servo's in the tail with the edge or do you use the rudder tray?

They are in the tail.

The Edge only requires about 1/4 rudder input or less to hold a knife edge at full power..........

If I use full rudder she will do a knife edge loop....... plenty of power

Well now we are just waiting for the fuel tanks and turn buckles to arrive in the mail and then we can go fly the Yak.

Mike, Great thread , kick A$$ plane !!!

I'm in the process of making up my mind on actually buying the 50% Edge so I was wondering if you know the links to any build threads and if you could give me an insight of pros and cons !!

Thanks Bro, I've also considered the YAK but I got so many still in the box (50cc and 100cc) that I think its time to have an Edge !!!

Thanks bro, I've also considered the Yak but I've still got a couple in the box ( 50cc and 100cc) so will probably go with the Edge just for change. I'm sure they both fly great !!

Hey Bill H, what do you say to building a 44% or so Pitts M-12 (Python styled), You seem to have the big stuff down pat, and "OTHERS" arent interested in such a big plane since they cant sell 10,000 of them. What do ya say,Hmmmm?????

Sorry, my intent is not to hijack this thread, just trying to make sure BH reads it.

I am always lerking around and watching.

A BIG A$$ Bi-PLANE WILL HAPPEN! It is just a question of when and which one. I am really leaning towards the Ultimate 20-300. This is a longer fuselage and a 2-seat canopy. Not sure of the final size but it will be designed around the 3W-275 motor and will be really cool! It will of course have all the latest cool mods like thin wings (less drag), airfoiled tail section, large control surfaces, pocket hinging, tinted canopy and of course "Bill Hempel Quality".

Maybe towards the mid-end of 2009? Will buisness still be good?? hmmmm..... We'll see.

Back to the thread! Come on Mike, get your Yak done! What are you waiting for?

Well we got the fuel tanks in today, we got them installed and test ran the engine

That only leaves the turn buckles left.
