Here is the installation of the 3W 240 T.O.C version. The bolt pattern is just a hair different then the 275. So we made new holes. The fire wall is inset so the left cylinder was touching. we

spaced the engine out a 1/2"and cut a slot around the left cylinder to make a good fit. If we spaced the engine to clear the side of the firewall completely then the prop hub would stick way

too far out. The Big 3W fills the whole inside of the huge cowl and looks very mean all put together!

The floor of the motor box is solid so when the Big Carb was installed it hit the floor. We cut a space around the carb .

Tail wheel installation went very fast. The tail springs feel soft and may need to get replaced with a stronger set.

The Canopy is very nice and built right into the canopy frame, so their are no bolts or glue required. But their was no BH pilot in the Box We will have to get ahold of Bill and have one sent to us. Their too nice not to have one.

I was going to do a build on this plane but being you are I'll just watch and post some of my pictures and see how you are building yours Mike, I'm Brian and I got the 4th Yak from Bill and all I can say is this is the BEST BUILT plane I've ever had. I am almost done buildind with the exception of the servo arms which are coming from Bill.

I used the k+s 4378 pipes from Gerhard and the XL 150 cans and it has great accelation and is smooth throttle curve. 275 ts cs forever !!!! I cut the pipes as close as possible to be as close to length as the stock headers are from 3W. Bill I cut 4 3/4" off the long end and 1 1/8 off the headpipe rise and it fit great as the picture shows. I have to commend Bill Hempel on a great aircraft ! Keep it up Bill I still have a stock 275 waiting. Mike are you using cans or in cowl muffs? Thanks, Brian

Here we have fuel proofed the inside area of the motor box, Installed the Ignitions inside the motor box so they are away from the engine heat and out of view.

To compare the size we put it next to a 42% Sukhoi su-31
