I am using a single 8711...they are holding up fine after more than 100 flights. The only slop I have is in the linkage...and I might even have that problem solved...using the right size bolts and a washer on each side of the ball link...its pretty tight...

I am also using 8711 for the elevators. Going to use a Seiko servo on a 3-cell li-ion for the rudder and Hitec 7955 TG for ailerons. I have spent to much money on SWB servo trays, so I am looking forward to test the Seiko servo for the first time. ![]() The rest of my setup is Emcotec DPSI RV Li-Manganese batteries for rx. 3ah *2 Duralite cells Li-Manganese battery for ign. 3,8ah *1 Duralite cell Electro dynamics kill switch 3w 170 CS TS with cannisters from krumcheid Maybe I mount a smoke system Olav Norway Last edited by olavjoergensen; 11-19-2008 at 06:30 PM. |

if any of you have been keeping up with my build threads you know I crashed my 300SX about 6 months ago, today I took the servos out of the elevators, put one in the phenolic plate to replace the bad one I had in my 260, would not work???? I played with it a little while then hit me to look at the bottom case,I lost my 300SX due to something goofy on the elevators, I thought it was lock-out, the bottom of the case is fried!!! a hole is burnt right through, pulled the case apart, circuit board has a hole burnt through it, and this servo had a plastic gear in it, I thought the 9156 was suppose to have all metal gears, the on that stripped did, I purchased these servos right after they released them to the public( as soon as Tower recieved them) so I took the gear I needed from that servo and that gives me one spare until the new one comes in

alrighty then, the 260 is back in action, now I can get busy trying to get the 2009 sportsman down pat.
tomorrow I will get the rudder off the Yak and do the repair, I should have it ready for this weekend. It is going to be nice to have two planes back at the field, I have been down to the 260 for a while now, should be 69* we will have to see what the wind is like. |

Somebody posted that earlier today..I am waiting for you to get one.
It still probably is not as loud.. ..Definately not as loud as a DA-170 swinging a Vess 32b...

32x10 pulls the DA-170 powered Compy Yak with authority...and lots of it. I switch off between the 32x10 and Mejzlik 29x12 3 blade. 29x12 3 blade is smoother, but does not pull as well, but it does pull better than my 30x12...for what its worth.

the 29-12-3 n is for sure the best prop for IMAC this prop has the best transition and speed control you can ask for.
