while I am awaiting more parts to come in I desided to mount all the servos in the phenolic servo trays and in the SWB servo tray to get the measurements I need, this is what I have came up with
I need 6- 1 1/2" for the rudder
4- 2 1/2 for ailerons
2- 4 1/2 for the inside aileron servos
2-2" fore elveators, I will order a few extra in the 2 1/2 lust in case the elevators turn out to be just a little longer, I already have 2-2" and 2-3" just trying to get a good idea of what I need.
how is this for a fare money shot, 11-9156 servos,
now I need to make the rudder servo tray mounting blocks
Hi I'm just getting my stuff together for this and I see you went with 3 s9156 per wing.
The book suggests 2 jr 8611's with a combined 640oz
I was planning on only using 2 s9156's per wing giving me about 680oz per wing
Would you advise using an extra servo per wing ?

Rogie.

Rogie....I've had several hundred flights on my CompArf 3m Yak 55sp before I sold it (549 to be exact) ...so I'm speaking from experience:
http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=19687

I had used 2 8611A's on the wings & had the outer servo strip on at least 3 occasions. I switched over to 8711 servos & it siezed once (on the outboard only). After that, I never had any more stripping of gears. The two servos were giving a total of 806 oz.....so to be honest, I'm not sure if you use only two servos (9156) it will be enough.

Thanks Wayne.

I'll go with three on each wing then.

Cheers.

Oh Hope you do well in the World cup today..

I had the same plane too. I had an 8711 inboard and outboard...and never had a problem. Im sure Hitec 7950s might would probably even be a better choice.
