And thanks sweetpea Im gonna look into some of that stuff. And as far as DA's not liking 6V's do you just use a large capacity 4.8 for ignition?[/quote]

I have always run 6v batts on my DA-100's with no problems. Am I missing something?

Also, the guys at PAU rock. Best around. Great support.

The quote was mis-read. Sweatpea said they don't like over 6v and that is true. He was just saying not to run a li-po or li ion straight without a 6v regulator. It will fry the ignition. Nothing OVER 6v on DA ignitions.

Correct.....sorry if my post wasn't as clear as this explanation.

I am not sure what "wylieruneyjr" was talking about concerning the AreoWorks planes?? Here is a picture of what was left of my plane after a radio failure about 200 feet up. The plane went in about 45 degrees, striking the gear and nose first. The motor box was the only part I brought home.

This plane has a very tough front end and can handel some rough landings and the power/vibrations from the single cylinder 85cc engine. I ordered another AW the day after the crash!!

And the landing gear attachs to these angles. NOT SO FOR AREOWORKS AND AIRWILD SUHKOI> BOth of which are great planes, just wouldn,t recommend them to a novice pilot, for that reason.
He is right. I have a Aeroworks Yak 54 100cc and it almost has to come to a complete stop before you turn the plane or you will bend the landing gear and damage the fuse. It looks really nice but a very poor design. I am sure it is why the 150cc yak is differnent in the landing gear area.

I am building the AW 85cc Yak now it has totally different gear than the Extra 260. The Yak has a 2pc gear that bolts on vertical to the side of the motor box. The Extra has a 1pc that bolts to the bottom of the motor box.
The AW Extra is solid though.

And that is the way the 150cc model is. I wish the 100cc was the same.

Sorry if I misled anybody, In the the pic of the crashed AW 75cc , its clear that it has the same metal aluminum angle attachment as the PAU or TT SD TOC planes, However not all AW,s have the same system. Point is the 36% PAU does have a robust system. I just ordered one myself. I crashed a Hanger9 SU 31 that had the same system of gear mounts and The crash photos looked the same with gear still attached to engine box, which was completely knocked out. You can see the Hanger9 sukhoi SU-31 fly at www.carolinaskydancers.com
