Default FLYING DOING ROLLS HELP

I usually build planes and they can do a roll or two in a row but usually dive during the roll towards the ground. A plane I just worked on does rolls great without diving during the roll. Actually I can fly a distance in a straight line while doing rolls without it going up or down. Why do my other planes dive. Suggestions wannted. Thanks RON

Many factors can cause the situation you describe. My first thought is the center of gravity is closer to correct on your current plane. You may also be adding , unknowingly, some elevator movement when doing some roll. Move your TX stick left & right, and watch the elevator. If you see any movement, you are inputing some elevator while doing the roll. No plane will continuosly do rolls in a straight line, with out some additional rudder and or elevator correction. This is called piloting.

what are the airframes in question? if you have been flying sig kadets and they fall in a roll but your new yak doesn't.... you have your answer right there. obviously i am being extreme with the examples but the point is the same. what are the planes you are referencing?

Almost all planes when setup correctly will require a little down elevator the hold level flight while inverted. If you are just rolling with aileron and not putting in any rudder or elevator during the roll it is normal for the plane to loose altitude. You can do linked aileron rolls by giving rudder and elevator inputs while rolling but it takes a little practice.
