Default New H9/Carden Yak

Just this weekend I got to see this plane upclose and fly it. It flies excellent, not at all what I expected from a 50cc plane. BUT... my question and concern is the wing tube, it was odd looking right off, just wondering as to why it is so short. It would seem as though a larger WS with a shorter wing tube is a problem waiting to happen, especially on a foam core wing. JM2cents....

I have the same doubt.

There is a video on Youtube showing this airplane losting a wing during a high-speed snap roll.

Look's like a REALLY short wing tube

when i bought this plane and saw the wing tube and had the same thoughts, but rest assured this is no problem. nobody has put this plane through as many HARD FAST snaps as i have. i use all the throw the 7955tg will give the ailerons. bevel to bevel. and no problems at all. and as far as the video you saw on youtube that wing had been repaired and was not fixed properly. so those little bits of info need to be known as well... you can see the same vid here on the giants and it tells of the fix ... you think dennis would sign his company name on sub quality design

Yeah. Why Carden Aicraft and Hangar 9 will launch an airplane without all the minimum safety required for this type of flight (3D). Doesn't make sense.

It's a beautiful plane and i'm thinking in buying it next year

I assure you the wing tube is long/strong enough... I did many a high speed KE snaps etc and was REALLY hard on this plane... The only thing I wore out were the hinges in the elevator. I wore everything out when it hit Terra Firma after forgetting to flip a flight mode switch

I've been beating mine up and seems to hold up just fine. I have had zero problems with it.

Plus it is a huge 50cc it looks like a 100cc in the air and sitting on the ground.

The Kregg Wright Virtual Cockpit really sets it off.
