I really wish I had this type of advice when buying parts for my past planes!!

Basically, digital servos center better, and if your budget allows them, they are well worth the money.

If not, the futaba s3010 is another popular option for the yak

No you don't. Look the ChinYak is a hotdog profile. It deserves to at least have metal gear servos that are fast enough and powerfull enough for the plane to give its best. There are a million servos to choose from. I use Hobbyco 140s in my 40 size slabs. Strong and pretty fast. Look for at least 80 or 90 inoz at .15 for speed, metal gears, a must in my opinion. Take your time, learn about these things, you will be glad you did. Check out the probros.

HS 645 MG. About $30. Analog and work better than their digital counterparts HS 5645 MG.

Compared to regular servos, digitals have better holding power even if they are rated at the same torque as regulars. They are generally more expensive, more precise, and consume more current. Try to eliminate binding... digitals don't like that.

Nothing req'd just plug 'n play.

I like the HS 645. They're kinda slow but they fly my Showtime 90 just fine. Mine have developed a bit of slop, but it's not really noticable in flight.

DS 821's are good.
My Futaba 3010's were horrible.
If you're crazy, I like the JR 8611A.

Geez, I'm going to have to make the time to finish formatting up my giant servo-shootout article.

The HXT5010 servos linked to are a mixed bag of worms.

Their resolution is one of the worst I've tested -- one unit exhibited less than 30 discrete steps from stop to stop -- absolutely awful.

However, they are quite torquey and have a fairly robust geartrain (for nylon).

Two of the test units didn't like 6V too much -- jittering and chattering quite badly.

They'd probably be just fine in a slow .40-sized trainer with small throws (where the lack of resolution wouldn't show up too much) but I wouldn't even think about them for 3D use -- where you'll find the resolution/centering to be *diabolical* with 3D-type throws and areas.

One in my club testet these servoes out. They were strong, not much slop, but the centering was pretty bad!

P.S. I couldnt figure out if they work with JR recievers, if you find out please mention it!!! thanks
Not to knock Hobby city or anything but I think the reviews are from an inside source. I bought a turnigy 40A speed control from them because I read all the reviews from people saying that they were pulling a steady 50A with it and it would barely get warm. I had a max of 43A and mine would get super hot. Hot enough to melt the heat shrink. Just a little info for you about those reviews. Also and friend of mine wrote a review about a charger he bought from them that went bad after one use and he was not bashing them at all just telling his experience with the unit and they deleted it. So your only hearing the good stuff

Hobby City regularly culls any comments that aren't 100% positive so, as others have said, those "user reviews" are totally useless at best and grossly misleading in all too many cases.

That's one of the reasons why I started RCModelReivews -- to try and get some independent and unbiased information out there now that the Chinese-explosion of product is well and truly underway.
