Sunday ATL Huckfest - Perfect wind down.

Well I'm sitting in the ATL airport waiting for my flight home and I'm reflecting on the weekend.
And all I keep thinking about is how happy everyone was. I chose the this picture for the Leading Edge because I thought it summed up everyone's feelings for the weekend in one simple picture... Smiles, smiles and more smiles.

Chris Hinson, his wife, all the guys from Extreme Flight put on one hell of a show. The southern hospitality was flowing and I have to say I like it, I like it A LOT.

Also, perhaps it's due to the "All year" flying, but DAMN... Southern boys can fly! (And set stuff on Fire!!) All the guys , Voodoo from Florida, Snoopy, Chris Hinson and the entire EF crew, EVERYONE could throw down.. good old fashioned rudder dragging, plane bashing, huckin. Not to be completely outdone, some of the Northern boys came down and showed they were not afraid of the south.

Also, soon to be uploaded, the EF guys "FG Pumpkin Carving contest entry video". Not sure about the end result, but the method was pretty spectacular!

A special shout goes out go to Pickle, Mrs. Pickle and Mr. Pickle who got me from the airport to the fest, and then had the decency to take me back! Mucho Gracia's!!

The ATL Huckfest brought a proper end to the 2008 Huckfest tour. We went a SOLID 4 - 4, with each event having its own personality and all four kicking major ass.

Many people went home with some GREAT raffle prizes, and again I'd like to thank all the companies who supported ALL four Huckfests.... Extreme Flight, Desert Aircraft, 3DHobby Shops, Vess Propellers, Hobbico/Futaba, R/C Armor, Fromeco and all the other sponsors that made sure these shows took place!

I'd like to say thanks to Jim Bourke for the continued support and enabling me to cover all the Huckfest events .

And finally I'd like to thank all the FG members who traveled great distances to hang out with all the FG brothers and sisters. MAN.. what a great summer. All summer long I got to hang with old friends, and make a ton of new friends. It truly was a great Huckfest year!

I personally can not wait for next years Huckfest season. We are going to keep the Tour to 4 events and will try to sort out the Dates as soon as possible, So get ready to plan your vacation days now.... because the first Huckfest is less than Eight months away.

Sleepy, I wish I went but I can travel so much, next year I will leave a plane behind and attend all Three Huckfests plus the CT One of course.

Was a local guy to the field.
Not sure his name, but he brings the plane in an open trailer. Or at least he DID bring it.
It went in full throttle went from a KE to a wiggle to a KE fix to a cross runway full throttle nose plant...
Poor motor did not come off full tilt untill the plane was smoked.

It was sad.
