Commercial jets are LAME.
they are lame i agree...but the truth is ord is beyond capacity on a nice day so they take off and land with tail winds. once the tail wind gets beyond the limits of the a/c, back to conventional airport ie. orchard field circa 1960.

What a weekend! I just want to say thanks to everyone for hanging in there and waiting out the rain. Saturday and Sunday were great fun! The Giants gang are a great bunch of guys (and gals) and are truly what make these events so special.
Sleepy, great to hang with you and get to know you better. We have so much in common. I'm going to hold you to your promise of getting back into playing guitar.
Hope everyone made it back home safe and sound and we look forward to seeing all of you in 2009!

We had a GREAT gaggle hover going on right before dark on Saturday evening! Has anybody got any pics they can put up of that? I have some and some video that I will be getting later, but haven't seen any pics of it so far.

You mean the one I almost took out?

Engine went lean and I was doing a tail slide at full throttle!
Fell out and threaded the needle out of there!

I was shaking for about an hour!
