Thats a whole lot of wing area. No wonder it flys like foam, how does it compare to a mojo/moass 60/65?

....a bit more agressive and floaty than a 65 (the EE is lighter with more squares, and the surfaces are all larger than that of a 65 too.) but power to weight stomps any other fuel burning plane i have ever owned, and thats some fun right there LOL!

Do you think you would get the same sort of performance on a small gasser (26cc)? Not a huge glow fan since I started flying gas. I hate glow goo.

Regarding the Roto 25, it needs a tuned pipe, it's anemic otherwise. I suspect the Evo26 is the same.

Wow, thanks Jeremy! High praise indeed. I still can't wait to get a V2 in your hands after seeing what you did with the Colts foam prototype
![]() Soto's, thanks for the info. Makes you wonder about the specs listed for props and rpms if tuned pipes were being used. From similar mufflers I bet the pipes will be lighter anyway. Did you see this with yours? |

There's just a couple good threads on the Roto 25 floating around, can't quite recall which site. The performance gain the pipe achieved IMHO is what made the little gasser a viable option for 3D. Does it offer the strongest most bestest power to weight ratio out there, well, no. Does it offer enough power to hover an 11 lb plane at less than 2/3's throttle? Yes it does. For me that's enough though I realize that many insist on hovering below 1/2 throttle. On a sub 10 lb plane, it should be great power.
On the weight savings of the muffler, I'll have to weigh next time I think of it. I have a tuned pipe in box for an Evo 26 I have in box as well. I doubt the weight savings is much as the tuned pipe is quite long, however it does move the weight closer to the CG, and behind it as well. |

For those that haven't heard or seen this yet we are hosting a Pro Bro Event in the Louisville area on June 12-14th. As part of that event I am building an EE V2 as a raffle prize to generate funds for our local club. If you're interested here's the raffle information:
The plane pic is of the intended covering scheme. Plan is to begin covering on Monday. Also note that the plane will be built ready for you to mount your gear and motor. If arranging delivery is a problem (shipping is not an option) or you can't pick it up at the event I can arrange to have a kit shipped to the winner for he/she to build instead. I am also emailing pictures of ppl's actual tickets so they can have a record of their ticket numbers (assuming they are not local or attending the event). Hi Guys,
I`am interested in buying a kit of the EE V2 as i have a YS14DZ that`s begging me to put him in a plane and i saw the video of this plane and man it`s a smooth flyer congrats on the design. Also this is going to be my first ever atempt to building a kit i hope it won`t be too complex for a first time build?. Where can i buy the kit? what`s the price? is everything included in the kit for the build?(balsa, gear etc.). Thanks. |

The build should be fine for a newbie. Besides, if you have any questions you can call me. The kits I'm selling now are "short kits" which include more than most "short kits". They have all the CNC parts as well as plans and landing gear. You have to supply a few sticks and sheets along with the hardware and wing tube and of your choice (CF or AL, CF is my preference by far). Here's a pic showing the things you need to get. You'll see that 99% of the kits cost is in the CNC parts but that is also about 95% of the plane . Even the tail and ailerons are CNC cut for you with the exception of the L.E. and T.E. tri-stock on the hinge lines. The short kits are $165 plus shipping (been averaging around $28). I'm getting ready to place the next order for kits to be CNC'd. It usually takes around 3 weeks for my CNC source to get them to me.Oh, btw, the YS 140DZ would be perfect for this plane! I have the original prototype EE (1lb heavier) flying with a YS160DZ and the power is insane! The 140DZ would be really sweet! Gotta love the DZ's throttle response and smoothness...nothing out there like it in the glow world. Thanks for the interest, Brian |

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the really quick response i will be looking forward to building this bird, seems like it will be a lot of fun.As soon that i`am ready to place the order i will look you up,are you able to ship the kit to Aruba(Caribbean)?. If i send you extra funds would you be able to get the extra balsa and all the accesories to complete the kit?,as our stock of balsa and specific items are very limited here on our small island ?.If not i could work it out?.We will be having a big event in October here on the island for the 35th anniversary of our club and it`s going to be a Fun Fly event and i think i could compete with the EE in this event. Nice to hear that the Dingo is going to be a good match for this plane maybe a little lighter and lower wing loading awesome!!!!. And thanks for your offer to help me get in the right track i really appreciate it .Best Regards, Greg. |

Shipping is a little hard to get exact. Via USPS it appears to range from $68 to $87. I'd just about have to get the kit totally together and take the box to the post office and get an exact number but at least you have something to plan on.
