I have the stock elevators. Counter balances would be nice, but the plane flys awesome stock. My plane is almost 2 years old from TOC, but it's the same exact plane as the TT version. I also have the 37.5% yak from the same company and love it. My extra does seem a bit more locked in for imac type flying where the yak is like a huge foamy! The yak is also a bit smaller looking when the two are side by side. I purchased the yak with the intent of selling the extra, but the extra still is fun to fly because it has a wider speed envelope, and it does track like its on rails. My extra has 2 5995's per wing, and 2 5995's per elevator half. I also have 3 5995's on the rudder. I run a stock 3W 150 on both my planes and love the performance. We also have a 40% SD/TT yak at our field with a 3W 170CS in it and it flys great, but pull out is not as good as the 37.5%. I would guess he is between 46-48lbs. I think you can't go wrong no matter if you get the yak or extra, but the extra is different. No matter what you get post some pics! The first pic I attached is my extra with the SFG's I made. The plane had mild wing rock in harrier so I built a set to help. I ended up without them because I just got better at flying and was able to chase it and keep it out without them. They still looked cool though. The second pic is from the field a few weeks back. You can see how big the 40% yak is becasue that is a Bill Hempell 50% edge next to it and they look about the same size! You can also see my 260, and 37.5% yak down the line and a carden 35% yak. The 37.5% yak is quite smaller. Hope this helps some.

Greaat lookin bunch of planes B-Nick!!! Trying to get my 260 in the air soon, Had to get my Carden Edge up first, I'm lovin that thing!!

If I had a choice of the 260 or the Yak.. I think I would have to go with the 37.5% Yak..... the 260 is a good plane but the Yak better suits my flying style... I like to 3D ALOT and this plane does it flawlessly!!! If your like mixing it up then the 260 is great too but IMO the Yak is a 3D monter.... Good luck choosing... Sure you'll be happy with either one.
