Default Austin Area Pilots

I am looking for some IMAC pilots in the Austin area to fly/practice with. This year I was a member of the Georgetown club and I think there is only one IMAC pilot up there. Any more? Which club do you fly at?

Bob, Unfortunately I don't fly in Austin, but I am out of San Antonio and fly at the Kingsbury field.

Hope to see you around next year.

We have a few IMAC'ers here, Brett flies advanced, Mark flies unlimited( I think), and Chuck (who we only see about once a year.

Brett Wickizer is at U.T. and will probably start practicing this spring. I think he will fly at AARCA, but who knows.

I heard Brett is pretty good at the sticks, I am sure he could point you in the right direction.

Even SA is hurting for IMAC guys.

I have not been to many (any) contest in a while but don't recall any pilots from Austin.

Not many guys in SA have the attension span to fly precision :22a:

Hi Bob,

You may already be aware of the South Central IMAC web page but just in case you're not here it is: http://www.mini-iac.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=81 . If you look at the South Central section under the Regions tab you'll find info about our IMAC Region, who's been flying IMAC in our Region, contest results, rules, etc. Glad to see you're interested in precision flight. We need more IMAC pilots. I fly in the Northwest Houston area so if you ever make it this way look me up and we can get some flights in.

Well I guess I will join Georgetown again. I'm kind of surpirsed there aren't IMAC pilots on here that fly at the Austin field. I guess I could always do an Associate Membership at the ARCA field too.

Bob, you should at least try and make contact with Brett, I am sure Mike can pass along news of this thread, but here is the stink of the whole think,

Brett is representing the USA in FAI Pattern this next year. He is an outstanding pilot, a great young man and he is a good teacher as well.

If you are free on the 16, come down to Kingsbury, there is a big flyin and we could get the chance to meet.
