So one thing I see right away is the carbon spinner?? Check out the accessories page - not to pick things apart here. But it should at least be a billet aluminum back plate not Carbon fiber - IMHO.
Even cast aluminum will distort under heat and torsion loads. I saw 2 37.5%ers spit the bolts off because of this. I don't think carbon is good material to make a spinner back plate out of - IMHO.

But besides that - I wonder how the carbon spars and gear are??

At least from the pictures and all the airframes look well designed though...

I still may purchase one.

I called Troy Built today and asked them about the Pilot models - it will be December before they get any 37.5%ers in stock. I can wait..

The other thing is Extreme Flight will be coming out with their 123 inch Extra about the same time frame. This is good!!

The plane that outflies everything in it's class will be at the hands of the person that can outfly everyone else. That will never change.

Toss one of the super stars the Tx connected to a trainer 40 and watch in awe of all the things we wished we could do with our big stuff. Worse, hand him the Tx for your plane and tell him there's no restrictions. It's painful to see just how much better your plane can fly....

OK - I heard that PIlot RC is giving some kind of promotion for FlyingGiants members?
What exactly is it?

I can find nothing about it on the banner or on their website?

Fills up the Mommy wagon.

First look at wings

As big as Evan!

bottom side of wing

Very well packed!

Stabs, note horns already installed.

Removable rudder, prehinged.

Fuse

Pre installed fuel tank, dot and lines.

Looking at fuse, pull-pull cables installed.

Aft end of pre installed pull-pull cables. This is right out of the box.

Pre cut carbon spinner, with spinner bolt.

This is just a look at the Pilolt-RC Yak as it comes out of the box. The hardware looks great and very usable.

Somebody is bound to complain that the carbon spinner doesn't have an aluminum backplate. Remind them that if they don't muscle down the center bolt the backplate won't deform. An aluminum backplate deforms just as easily.

Looks good.
