That looks to be the same spinner as the one from TBM or Azure. T O M, as you said it would take a lot to damage that back plate. I have used a 6" and 5" spinner from Azure. There is really no chance of having a problem with the back plate. One issue I had with my 5" though was it wanting to turn. I put a drop of canopy cement on both sides of the cone to the back plate and it has not moved since. Other than that they are great.

So now you have yours . What did you think about the pakaging. I dont have lots of experiance with aircraft pakaging but I thought the way my Pilot RC yak was packed was perfect. All the way from China and not even a mark and I mean not even 1 at all.

Mine did not come with the horns pre installed so thats something new.
My rudder cables also were not pre installed , Good to see some improvements even though there isnt much to improve.

Gas is Hazardous material (HAZMAT). Please don't even try this. It's not allowed

Dear Tony

Thank you for this feedback, I am honoured to have the first production Pilot RC Yak although I’m so busy now it may be the last to fly..........

Let me just say that these kits you are producing are the best I have ever seen, your customer service is the best I have ever experienced. If these points remain part of your focus then Pilot RC will become one of the big successes of our hobby.

I would like to congratulate you on building and delivering a perfect aircraft to me and I eagerly await the delivery of my Katana

Hi

I have the Pilot RC 100cc Extra 260 and the 50cc Yak which I have been flying for some time now

Here is a link to a short video of the second flight (in between showers of rain)

The Extra is fitted with a ZDZ 80RV-J on a 28 x 8 ZDZ wooden prop and JMB tr70 Cannister and is proving to be a perfect combo.

The Yak has a ZDZ 50NG with a JMB Canister running a ZDZ 22 x 8 wooden prop, again a perfect combination

I really like everything about these planes and interested to hear from everyone who has one to see how they fly and hold up. Not knocking the pilot/s but I was not impressed with the flying in the promo vids.

There was a thread going on these on RCU but it got shut down due to a Certain High end plane manufacturer complaining about copied planes... If you look hard at the 50cc 88" extra you will see what I'm talking about. I'll still by from Pilot because they have nice planes and alot of the work is done for you, at about the same price or less than the others...

I was going to post this as well. I heard from an anonymous source that the planes are copies of other well known arf manufacturers . I guess this is legal to do because of the lack of copyright and patent laws in china but I for one would be upset if the people that I had build my arf that I spent all of the time and money to design, stole it and changed the scheme and sold it for less. I heard on another thread about Pilot rc being good for the hobby but I am not so sure about that. Its going to mean that before long everything will be coming from over seas and there will be no more american arf company's at all. Im not trying to start a war here i just wanted to agree with the last post as I had heard the same thing.

What ARF company is not coming from China now? I don't know of any ARF's that are actually built in the US.
