My Yak 100cc is here going to pick up tomorrow. So excited.

I have a 3w 106 and a da 100 can not decide which one to put into it any input?

I can not wait to get this thing in the air and ring it out to dry.

Thanks
Cyclone

Pretty easy choice in my opinion.

I received my Yak (100cc) towards the end of September 2008 and maiden it on 23 October. This plane is flying on rails, the 3W 106 (stock mufflers) pulls the wheels of the runway within 20 meters. This is the most amazing plane and will fly on its side all day long. I am no busy preparing my second Pilot Rc plane, 40% Katana S with the following setup:
Ailerons - 3 Hitech 7955 each
Elevator - 2 Hitech 7955 each
Throttle - 1 Hitech 7895
Rudder - Seiko monster servo
Smartfly power expander sport with turbo regulator, 2 X 5200 lithion packs on rx and 2600 on ignition
ZDZ 160cc Super

What I would like to know (as I am new to 40% - the only at our club), should I use a dual receiver setup? I am using a Futaba 12 FG with Fasst module and 14 channel recieiver.

Both planes were bought from Cerebus, Cape Town South Africa. The Katana S (airframe no 002) done in custom colours with some history attached to it. Planning to have it flying by end of April.

I would run two receivers just in case. Cut the plane in half for each receiver. Plus, make sure there not in the direct sunlight.

TX Gents,

I have was not sure, but will follow your advice Drew. Must say I have never had any over heating problems with the 3 receivers I am currently using.

I fly FASST also and have ZERO issues, but there are a few out there with over heating problems. That Katana looks great, very nice....

TX, man - can't wait to get her up - need only to do the servos and get some fuel through the motor before taking her out.

Hi Tobie

2 receivers = redundancy but you have to space them minimum 20cm apart to prevent interference. I have only one receiver in my 40% Extra.
Cheers

Dont know about 2.4 ! I had 2 receivers (36 mhz) 2 cm appart in a 2.6 100cc comp arf Yak with no problems ! More info on http://www.horizonhobby.com/ . I only run 1 receiver on my 3m 260. 2 receivers only help if 1 receiver brakes down !!

Cheers
