That foam back there is PLENTY thick enough that you wouldn't have to worry about that. also since you are going to have to cover with low temp covering, it will not have the "shink strength" of high temp covering. I will be cutting holes in mine when I do it. Just my $0.02.

Have most of the parts to build another Byron Chritsen Eagle. Let me know if you have an interest and send photos of what I have. Price is $300 plus any shipping. I can tell you the fuse is brand new untouched, wings are done with feathers applied and in very good (not unused new) condition, puls other parts.
I also fly one on a 45cc gas engine and love it. I also own a built but unfinished Cap 21 from Byron.
Be well.

Nice project

I have been using A123 12s2p in my Giles 202. Its a little on the heavy side but the power more than makes up for it. Fly at 1/2 power almost the entire time. Depending if you need the weight up front it maybe a good option for you.

Will you have the HS-225 on all four surfaces? I have heard good things about your electric motor Some have reported bearings going bad after about 100 flights. If you hear is sqeel or start to get new bearings in it.

For the fellow with the ESC that wont start but stutters try high timing. If that doesnt do the trick go to low timming. This is a common problem when you go to the higher cell counts. I dont own one of these but they have a good reputation of working as advertised.

Waiting to hear the progress

Jeff

Sorry about the delay, I have currently but the pitts on hold is I can build an Aerotech 42% Extra 300. I am hoping to get back to the pitts as soon as the extra is finished in about a month or so.

It is currently about 95% covered.
