Bob,
I really like the looks of it! I'm thinking DeWayne and Gary are going to promote these airframes really well. I like pretty much all of the Model 12 kits there are out on the market..... It just depends on what kind of flying you want to do with it. QQ's bird is nice but has a few places on it that make it specifically adapted to 3D and IMAC-ing. The top wing looks to me like it sits really close to the fuse but there's probably a good reason for it..... They fly really well. Aeroworks 50cc bird looks and flies great but I feel the fuse at the front end looks too skinny and the gear is too far back. This CH looks to be a dead wringer copy (in the looks department!) of Trueworthy's 35% Model 12. Get yours crankin' and let us see some video of it boring some holes in the sky! WT ![]()

Guys-
We are so close and had intended to release the info already but do to major power failures at the factory they have really set us back on the plan.. I do have all the pricing worked out and am waiting on them to splash the water to release prices and colors. However in the interim I would like to give you all a little bit of more info on the new changes we had mandated from the older version to the New KNOXHOBBIES version.
Merry Christmas to all and have a blessed holidays, The Knoxhobbies Team

DeWayne,
The pics look really good! Is that Bull Dog scheme a 50 cc bird? I like the control horn set-up. One little bone of contention.......... Make sure the Model 12's landing gear is stout. I've seen a few that flex like a diving board and then stay splayed after time. From what I have seen of you and your Knox organization, ya'll have stayed on top of issues and eliminated the problems from your planes. Now then............ Fuel up your 747 and go get those containers........ Shipping by water is SO LAST WEEK!! LOL! WT ![]()

WT-
Yes- The landing gear has been updated on the 50cc pitts as well as any others that might have been a problem in the past. The gear in question as well as other items are much better than the older ones imported by the prior organization we are now using a tried and true different materials to achieve these objectives. We have really been keeping our nose to the grindstone and taking a flyer's approach towards these models and feel they are far Superior with material changes coupled with all the drawing changes (total of 5) since Bob's will prove we have been hard at it and achieved our goal in improving this already top shelf model. As to the 747 and the container.. Well somethings are better left alone shall we say we are trying to be GREEN and saving all that jet wash from the ozone. LOL.. Once we announce the pricing and show the colors we will be having an introductory promotion for a while on them to provide the best value to the end user. We anticipate the delivery in the middle of January and will be shipping out next day. Keep your eyes peeled and thanks again for the input form all of you. You guys are helping us provide a higher quality ARF's by asking these questions and offering your suggestions. We are very fortunate to have a builder that really values and respects our input also so we can incorporate the changes and make them come to life. So keep those cards and letters coming! Merry Christmas form the KNOXHOBBIES TEAM

We went with another manufacturer who is building according to our needs. We are not distributing the same Pitts as Knox Hobbies will.
We will still offer the same quality (upgraded parts) and customizing if needed, and same customer service as always. The green Pitts did not come from Knox Hobbies, just want to make that clear. It was our plane customized for a client. 2 versions have been built. The one at bomber field, came from Blazing Wings. Since Knox Hobbies is taking over the distribution for CHmodel's Pitts, we decided to take our ideas, and move on with another manufacturer, who is accomondating all our needs into a plane. We will bring out a whole new line of scale planes in 2009. New website will be launched as well 2009. We will not interfere with Knox Hobbies distributions, and we will not carry the same products from Chmodel, just to make this clear. There are many manufacturers in China, that can build for you. What we find most depressing is, that we have brought out the word for the Giant scale Pitts a year ago or more, and started sales on it. Now, that the cake is done, others take their share. Anyway, we have learned from such issues, and we decided, to go somewhere else. I wish that my previous customers, and new customers, will continue to support us. hey bob i am getting ready to start mine i was wondering if they put hard points in the control surfaces? mine was already covered and it looked a little week in this area. also clay ness from able hobbies is just about finished with his and he indicated that there was no hard points so he had to make some mods there. also we are making some mods so that we can keep the center section of the top wing attached permanently to the air frame .. anyway looking good i will post photos as i go also

Mine were all solid balsa except the upper wings which were hollow. They were fine for the control horns provided. I thought about redoing the upper wings, but after I installed the control horns they were very solid. Lets see pictures of yours! I have the throtttle hooked up an mine and next will be the fuel tank.

Andreas (blazing Wings)-
Thanks for weighing in here on the CH models thread on Flying Giants about out New Exclusive Distributorship from the CH Models factory. I do want to thank you for acknowledging that the CH models/KnoxHobbies airframes are a great product. As you know CH Models was requiring and asking for a US Sole Distributor to achieve the following:
After KH was granted the US Distributorship I recommended to CH that I contact you directly as we both of us know I did via Phone. During that phone conversation I had extended to you all the above mentioned features to you and wanted to grant you to be an Authorized Dealer with drop shipping options for you to continue to sell the existing improved airframes to satisfy your customer needs. I am sorry that you feel KH taking this much warranted product to the next level is stealing you "cake" . I can understand that you could feel this way but you have to realize that the product you were selling in about 4 generations old now and this is our design not the prior. Which brings me to the Green Pitts that Gary showed at Bomber field. It is a smart business tactic for us to bring a (4 generation old) product to the people who know in the hobby inside and out to get their input and implement those improvements into the plans. We did this by Gary purchasing this Green one from an individual which was dropped shipped directly form CH to their door. Yes we did take that model as a baseline plane and drastically change multiple things based on our ideas as Modelers and RC Pilots ourselves as well as input from people at the shows. Now to your last point in your post here on FG: I do wish you and your new build all the luck in the world as I know how much work and time it takes to work out all the issues that you will have to overcome with your new builders and design problems. I also know that while working through the issues and trying to qualify them to the end user I empathize with you on your new business venture as i know it will take some time for the market to see them with little reservations. I also want to say that I feel that there is always room for 1 more good quality, qualified, lightweight plane on the market and I wish you the best of luck in your business venture. As always my door and phone is always open to you and would be willing to accept you questions and concerns at any time. Merry CHRISTmas from the entire KnoxHobbies Team
