Any idea how deep the muffler/pipe tunnel is from the front of the firewall? Also how far is the front of the cowel from the firewall?
I am tempted to change my mind from the Thunder Tiger 40% Pitts to this one.

Thanks,
Lou

Quick question to Bob or Dewayne :

Since this this bird ( 150cc pitts) is a little smaller than some of the other brands out there , how does she balance with a 150-170cc motor up front? Does most of the electrical stuff have to be installed a little further back to get it to balance? Also...Bob , how does it balance with the Kroma 180 up front? I noticed that the tail servos are all mounted in the rear , including the rudder servos , is there a pull-pull option on this bird as well?

AEROLOU;
Mine does not have the tunnel. The firewall is 7.75 from the front of the cowl.

JEFFRO503;
I don't have all the servos in yet. Last ones come today. Maybe tomorrow I wil be able to see how it balances.
There is no provisions for pull pull on mine, I don't know about the updated version.

OK sounds good Bob. I was thinking they probably designed this knowing it was going to come out a little nose heavy with the bigger 150-180cc sized motor up front , hence why they put all the servos in the tail. It's a little different than some , but should work ok. looking forward to watching the rest of your build.....that bipe is very sexy man!

Guys-

We JUST confirmed the weight of the 95" Big Pitts... And let me say we have trimmed the fat compared to others and we are at our fighting weight.

16.25 - 16.50 lbs Airframe only fully assembled (16.50 with upgraded 440 tail wires)

KH BIG PITTS AND GRPRO 110cc Twin
  • KH Big Pitts ARF Assembled= 16.50 lbs
  • GrPro 110cc "I" Twin version= 6.11 lbs (engine muffler and ignition)
  • 9 x High Torque 2.25 oz ea = 1.26 lbs
  • 3 Tanic Pack A123 (2300 MaH)= 1.00 lbs
  • Switches, Extensions, Tamers = 0.50 lbs
25.37lbs= UNDER 26 LBS FLYING!!!
*21.92 Wing Loading*

----------------------------------------------------------------

KH 95" BIG PITTS AND GRPRO 150cc Twin
  • KH Big Pitts ARF Assembled= 16.50 lbs
  • GrPro 150cc "I" Twin version= 8.33 lbs (engine muffler and ignition)
  • 9 x High Torque 2.25 oz ea = 1.26 lbs
  • 3 Tanic Pack A123 (2300 MaH)= 1.00 lbs
  • Switches, Extensions, Tamers = 0.50 lbs
27.59lbs= UNDER 28 LBS FLYING!!!

Either way we challenge the competition to meet us face to face on the scales!

Thanks,
DeWayne Solomon

Jeffro503-

Yes this is the reason we had all the servos place in the tail.. and yes they work great with the new superior strength TRUSS Control Horns.

Thanks,
DeWayne

All-

Please be careful and note that BH models has created an inexpensive inferior knock off of our old version in the 95" from Ch Models.. Knoxhobbies is not connected nor wants to be associated with any of these BH models planes,products, and or distributors. These now BH products have been advertised by the former company for CH models and continues to use CH models pictures both here and on RCU without CH or KH consent. We also Will not warranty any planes or parts except the KnoxHobbies original products as one could have guessed. Now I am off my soap box and have it off my chest. Please just be aware of the imitations and get what you pay for. Thanks and hope you have a safe and happy NEW YEAR celebration.

Hi DeWayne
How many openings do ypu provide in the tail and are they left covered from the factory? Mine were all open and now I have 2 extra holes in the tail as I only used 4. It would have been nice to have them covered or provide louveres to provide ventilation.
