Futaba 8U poor range test
I have a Futaba 8U that i fly two planes with. Flew my U Can Do saturday morning with no problems. Got ready to fly the 85" Katana and could not walk two steps from the plane for range check and the servos just went crazy. Battery power was 10.4 volts. So went back to the UCD and tried to range check it and the same thing, take 3 or 4 steps and the servos just go crazy. Since both planes have the same problem I assume it is the transmitter. Not sure what to do from here. Any help would be appreciated.

Since it appears to be the TX, can you borrow a TX freq module from a friend and retry your range check? That would be an easy test to try and isolate the problem.
If it is the TX freq module, you can pick those up easily since people are dumping 72mhz gear to jump to 2.4G. Woodie |
