Default I`ll never forget wbout the wind again.

Was out Saturday flying my Cermark Sukhoi in 15 or so mph winds. Was just having fun seeing how close to a dead stop it would go on the head wind leg when for some reason my brain must have left for coffee or something.

I had it in a pretty steep harrier and decided to turn around at the end of the runway. Totally forgetting that, at almost an idle, the wind was the only thing keeping it up.

Plane got about 90 degrees through the turn and the tail went straight up and the plane twisted around. Going that slow and now with a stiff tail wind the elevators did nothing.

I hit the throttle but only had enough air left to level it out before it hit. Broke the fuse in half right at the leading edge of the wing. Looked ugly but very repairable.

I learned two really important things:
1. Never loose awareness of my surroundings.
2. NEVER say "Hey, watch this!"
