Im just about to order Hitec hsr-5995tg and 5997 or 8's!. but i started reading all the bad stuff about voltage and programming these types of servos. Since I'm new to larger size scale planes, should I stay away from digital servos and just settle for some Futaba s9206 or Hitec hs-645mg and call it a day??? Please help this is the first steps in building and I'm already stuff on the damn servos!

What have you read bad about these? I have 5955's that work perfectly for me. No need to program if you don't want to. I would recommend going digital on a plane that size.

I've read good things about the 5955 but no the 5995's, I've post the thread as soon as I find it.
http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...ec-5995-a.html basicly after reading this thread I'm thinking you need a program and endless amounts of time? What the hell, I wanted a tg with out the hassle? Last edited by brad65ford; 11-10-2008 at 06:24 PM. |

Where are you ordering 5995s??? I need one and haven't found anyone that still has 5995s in stock. They are robotic servos, BTW. About the same as 5995s, but rated higher than 6v, due to the fact they ain't targeted for use in aircraft.
For that matter why are you looking at 5997s/5998s? Those aren't marketed towards R/C planes either. -- Mike

I found them for a get deal used, and I though I could save some money on the biuld and not spend 600 bucks for 6 servos. (4) servos for 125, I thought it would be worth the trouble, I just don't know if its now worth the trouble?
