I could be wrong but I think that Quique Aircraft is the only Mfg. authorized by the Turbine Toucan Company to produce the Toucan for RC.

breedatrad, Heydick is right, QQ has the rights to the model, I don't think you can do it.

Hi Guys;

ericb: That page is outdated.

Quique's moved on and has severed ties with Infinity Entertainment and the Turbine Toucan project. He's working with Kimball Enterprises on the Ti-12 now.

Team Owner, David Kervinen still wants to get a model(s) out there and I've offered to help. My first step is to find an interested Mfg. to take on the project. And, as I mentioned above: I'm also exploring what's involved with doing it myself. It may be too big of a "start-up project", but I'm still investigating.

Mr. Kervinen wants to put exclusive rights in somebody's hands, but it's not a done-deal yet.

Hi Brian,

Your information is partially correct. QQAC tried for over a year to reach an agreement but due to potential sponsorship ideas with the owners of the full scale airplane, it was not possible to reach an agreement at this time. QQAC suggested that we wait until their sponsorship(s) issues were set after which we could continue toward final contract negotiations. However, this was not acceptable to all parties involved and so they decided to terminate negotiations and end all relationships with me and QQAC.

The agreements we have with Kimball Enterprises for the Python, Model 12, TI-12 and some other future projects, began before the negotiations for this airplane. In fact, it was Kevin Kimball who introduced us to the airplane as Kevin and his company built the Model 12 airframe parts for this biplane project.

Guys, do not get disappointed, QQAC is coming with several more cool airplane designs from Kimball that may include a model 12 type airplane with turbine power drawn up by Kevin many years ago.

Best regards and good luck with your future projects,
