Hey AirborneSGT,

The field is in Davao City, an hour & a half plane ride South of Manila.

Baguio is really nice, nicer if you have relatives so you can drop by anytime.

When was the last time you visited?
Allan

PS: The twin is flyable again .

Hello everyone!

I got 4 flight vids today. A Wing 450 proxy pilot vid, Raptor Titan aerobatics, Honeybee King 2 loop & a Raptor 30 loop. It was all good fun. Except for my Wing, I crashed my heli that's why I was a proxy pilot, Oh well.

Its been a very long time since I visited the Phillipines but man what a beautiful place.

Your club looks to be the envy of many others that I know in this part of the world. Of course the friendship and fun look to be off the hook as well.

Great stuff Hans Solo and thanks for sharing it with us.

3rd vid.

Honeybee King 2 - Gibby 1st loop

4th vid. Last vid for the weekend.

Zerodivide/Roland's mission for the day was to do his first loop on his Raptor 30. All through the afternoon he was tuning the engine, it would bog down when you give throttle. Culprit was a worn glow plug. Installed a new one & the engine was good to go. No other choice but to try that loop. It was getting dark fast, it was now or never.

Raptor 30 - Roland 1st Loop

I have actually never been to the PI yet! I had hoped my military career would take me there, just might yet! The family was planning on heading over there this coming year. My Dad has been back a couple times. Do you guys get better deals on hobby stuff being closer to where everything is made? I think Hitec had some of their servos made there.

yes the manufacturing line of Hitec is located here. its in Cebu (mactan City) Visayas region of the Philippines. parts came from china or taiwan i think, then it being assembled here. so it just an assembly line of hitec. my loop with my raptor is really running rich. i check my carb then i found out i have a leak on the High speed needle. i check some forums regarding the thunder tiger .36 engine. we have common problems. the O-ring in the high speed needle is not big enough. the losen up creating a leak.no wonder my heli's frame was full of fuel after the flight. and my Pipe is really flooded with fuel.

OS .37 is a great motor for the Raptor. I flew a bunch with the TT .36 though. Both mine and my friend's TT .36 had the carb barrel retention bolt come loose in flight - but it hits the cylinder & didn't disappear. It just made the motor lose tuning and come down. Maybe try bending the "clicker" thing that pushes against the needle valve in a little more too? That should keep it from turning. The tip for setting the needle valve (rich / lean) is to fly a bit & land. Run over and try putting your finger on the bottom of the engine backplate. If you can keep your thumb on it for 5 seconds or longer - it should be fine. If it's too hot to hold the thumb on the bottom of the backplate - too lean! If it's relatively cool, but you are still getting plenty of power out of the motor... probably leave it where it is. Raptors are fun - send more pics too

i did put some Fuel line tubing just before the O-ring to seal some air gap. how man turns are your high speed needle? and my low speed needle i just have 1 turn. is it much better that the low speed needle needed to be rich before adjusting the High speed needle?

Hello folks!

I got only heli vids. Electrics. A Wing 450 & a King 2.

Kuya Willy(our senoir helismith) flying his Wing 450. He just wants relax aerobatic flying.

Gibby on his King 2, does an accidental 3D move around one third of the vid. It was actually a nice, fast clean move.

Hope it won't rain tomorrow.
