Default PB Royal and 8611a

I am using a PB Royals in 2 different planes. Both configs are 8711s on all surfaces and 8611a on throttle. I know its overkill, but I ended up buy a bunch of 8611a for $20.00 a piece...so...a good throttle servo it is. Anyway...I would like to put 7 volts from the PBR to the 8711s..I know JR doesnt like this but from everyone I have talked to..it should be ok. The question is...Will the 8611a run on 7 volts...Reza...have you done this before?

Thanks

I have done this on 8711s. You really may not notice a difference pushing the 8611a from 6v to 7v but I haven't tried it.
BTW, killer deal on those 8611a, let me know when you didn't want them

Reza,

I dont care about pushing the 7 volts to the 8611a...it is just a throttle servo...I guess the question is ...can the servo handle it without zapping it or should I run the PB down to 5.9 volts.

8611a doesn't have a heatsink like the 8711. I would use a voltage step down. It may burn the motor if you keep pumping 7v. This may not happen immediately but overtime very possible!

Duralite has them. It's a small thing. Mainly used for heli guys but I have one on my throttle servo on the 120" and PB Royal.

Yes, that's correct. I believe Duralite may have the extensions as well.
