Kevin,
I posted this same question on a thread at RCUniverse. Their have been several replies to that thread from AFSalmon (Mike) since then. This model is advertised as being able to take a .91 2stroke. I have an OS 1.20 that needs a home. It uses the same mounting pattern as a traditional .91, but obviously weighs a little bit more. I just want to very directly ask and get an honest answer if you think the OS 1.20 is too much motor for it. I'd buy the larger 65" Yak or the 67" Fusion, but both ARFs are out of stock and will be for some time. Thank you for your time, David (Vahn) |

I like it! I'll have to wait until I can squeeze it into my hobby budget, but I'll have one, for sure.

Thanks. It's pretty hard to find 1.20 sized ARF profiles (in stock, anyhow).

After flying my razor yak this weekend, i have to say that the 120 would be to much for the plane, but for our 65" yak it would work fine. this yak is coming in around 6.5 to 7lbs. and my os 75 has crazy power on it as it is. i will try and post pics of it tonight

the 2 stroke will be to much, i would say the 4 stroke would be your best bet. My 75 pulls it to good to say that you would need a bigger motor

I had a kit built Razor Yak with a Saito 100. Great airplane. I thought it tracked like no other profile. Highlights for me with this plane was the ridiculous walls, sweet inverted harriers and no brainer high alpha knife edge. It did everything very well. You can't go wrong with this one if you're in the market for a BIG profile. I wish I didn't sell mine but I just had too simplify the fleet. I know it's in good hands now though.

Thanks for that confirmation. Looks like I am going to be waiting for some time before the 65" Yaks (ARF) come back in.

I have a lot to do this winter break. I am off for thanksgiving now then go back a week of school then come back home for a month. Here is what is on my build list!
Razor Yak Edge 540 40 size (White version) Profile 46 Size Yak Kit (Granddad is currently finishing it up) Then maybe the 80" edge!!! Keep a look out for the build thread of these airplanes!!!
