Default been out of it for a while, need help choosing a foamy!

hey guys, many of you prob. dont remember me but i used to be on this site hours on end back in the day. i got a little sidetracked because of cars...here ill post a little picture of what ive been up to..

In july of last year, i was 16 and finally was ready to buy a car. My old man would not let me purchase a used car because he wanted me to concentrate on school and not have to worry about being in a shop all the time. so i went and got a hell of a deal on a slightly used 06 blue scion tc with a manual trans.

a year and a half later, this is most of the "finished" product, ive done a little more since this picture but yeh...

well i put flying on the side and now im about to turn 18. my dad wanted to do something nice for my 18th bday because ive done fairly well in college (3.25) and have maintained a steady job with my payments always on time and then some plus 18 is sort of a big bday!!! so he wanted to get my focus off of cars and back into flying and i could not agree more with his idea. he wants to get me a semi-turn key foamy. i want something that either has pre-intalled or included fairly decent electronics. i dont mind building but because i have not flown in over a year, i dont know whats on the market anymore so i wanted some suggestions!

Pick yourself up a DW Foamie combo. I have the Gen-X junior for indoor and it rocks!! Builds easy too since it has tab-loc in the design.

Welcome back!!

i remember i used to have a monte before they stopped making em and that was the best god damn foamie i ever owned haha. i have the electronics but there kind of outdated. i still own a twist, a profile plane, and a good foamie but i cant rmemeber who made it but i just want to start fresh with electronics and such. i really like the builders kits from chargerrc.com. i may have to try one of those out! i want something i can fly in a park or wherever i want because its just a hassle to go out to the flying field now!!! any other suggestions, im very open minded. i just want a kit that has all the electronics matched up and included or has a combo kit, something that 3d's really well (i hope i can remember to torque roll and such) and something thats fairly durable (well as durable as a foamy can be)

Just my two cents! DWFOAMIES ROCK! DW yak $40.00ish. Hacker A20-22L and speed controller from Dragonfly innovations $94.99 plus shipping! Of course, whatever servos and radio you prefer! For batteries I have enerland 800 lipos, and Thunder Power 1320. Both seem to do really well with plenty of overkill power!

Just my two cents worth!

I've had a bunch of the DW foamies planes and every one of them has been awesome! Mike is also one of the nicest guys I have talked to. He's always there to help Their combos are great too!

I've also got a fancy foam yak55 and just finished up the build tonight. Everything went really smooth. Looking forward to flying this thing in the gym!
