Default J-tec 2.7 meter Extra 300

I have seen these on the J-tec web site, was just wondering is there anyone out there flying one of these? If so is there any video, or pics, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I have been flying one for a few months now. It is definately one of the best 35% planes I have flown to date. I like it so much I had to buy a Panzl PAK kit. I just finished the Panzl so I can compare the two.

Solid airplane! I am dialing one in now for next years IMAC season. So far I am very happy. I also like the fact that if I need something, Al is only a few minutes away and has been very helpful. You're not too far from me, drive up tomorrow and take a look up close and personal. We will be flying in Newton.

I flew the 3.2 all during the 08 season as my primary IMAC airplane, but logged a bunch of flights on other's 2.7m Extras as well, and they are fantastic. I plan on setting up one next season for freestyle and flying the 3.2 for IMAC. I have a couple hundred flights on my 2.7 Panzl and love it, think the 2.7 Extra is even better.

Johnny,

How is that DL100 working out for you? How's the combination with the engine? We fly DA but the price difference of the DL you can almost buy all the servos you need. I am really considering the posibility of handling the DL 100 also for our customers

Site says a styrofoam sheeted wing, will this allow to use only one servo per wing?
24 lbs would be tough to achieve with a DA-85 I bet.

Ours with the DA-85 and a mtw 110k weighs roughly 24.5 or 25 lbs and it is a very nice combo. Also we do have carbon fiber gear available for all the extra's and that knocks off 8 oz on the 2.5 and 2.7m. As for the wings you can use one servo if you would like, the reason we reccomend using two is because it helps spread the load and keep the aileron from flexing. You would be fine with one Hitec 5955, JR 8611 or 8711, or Futaba 9156 or 9157.

The DL is awesome, it hauls this 27lb plane with authority. You need to offer them as a package deal.

My setup is a 3W106 with standard mufflers, two 5985's per wing, 7955's on the elevators, a single 8711 on rudder, Spektrum 9100 rx with two A123 packs, a 1500 mah nimh on ignition, with a Smart-fly kill switch. My weight is a bit over 27 lbs. I have a single aileron servo on my Panzl and it works very well. Since I have two on the Extra already setup I just left it that way.

We'll probably bring the display planes and we may only set up two. ( room is tight in the booths, The 3.2 take up most of a booth) Most guys don't have the room to take a giant scale plane home with them from a trade show so unless its pre ordered we may not bring additional 2.5, 2.7 or 3.2M planes.

We will however be bring all the Electrics Ducted fan Jets with us as they are easy to take home in the trunk of the car.

As with any trade show we attend. If a plane is preordered we will delivery it free of charge to the show. Right now that is a savings of at least $130.00 and up for shipping depending on the plane.

Also if you need to pick up a muffler at the show please let us know in advance so we can make one up and have it ready for you to pick up. We just can't have a muffler of every style for every engine at the show. ( basically we never know what to bring)

AS of today we will be attending the BARKS swap Meet here in NC on the 24th, Wrams Show in NY in Feb and Joe Nall. We have not planned to attend any other shows at this time but that may change

Al
