i've tried and tried, but nothing I do works. I'm thinking about giving up. I tried doing it on the sim, but the computer couldn't take it. that's right, it's the zero of eight.

Zero of 8 is simple.
It's the inverted cross-box 0 of 8 that will drive ya nuts,

I have no idea what a "0 of 8' is but i share your frustration.

Had to go to the workshop to smash stuff after an hour of trying to hover/torque roll the ultimate on Phoenix sim...

Time to take up yachts...

Dude, it's okay. Almost nobody can do it. I've seen it pulled off one time. In a hotel lobby in Toledo, at about 4 am the night after ETOC. An unnamed pilot was flying an Ember but broke the prop, so we started discuss launching it. And in the dim light of that lobby, about 4 seconds into the flight, he pulled off the zero of eight. Unfortunately the airplane was promptly destroyed. It's one of those once-in-a-lifetime sightings that changes things forever.

We must please ask everyone to not try the 0 of 8 on any flight simulator that the computer is connected to the internet. It has been discovered that if the manuever is actually pulled off it will destroy the local computer and more than likely shut down over half of the internet servers. So please be very careful when trying this on your flight simulator.
