Default Moving Phoenix recording to windows

Been recording IMAC BASIC progress on Phoenix simulator. Want to send via email to club members. Problem is that Phoenix dat files are proprietary so won't transfer.

I have tried a video screen save program called FRAPS but will only record one minute of
the 3 minute flight. And then file is hundreds of mega bites, so not workable for email.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Sending anything other than text and small photos through email servers is not advisable . You could put the vidoe on 1 of a number of video websites like youtube and flying giants and then just send the club members a link to the site via email. Most video sites know adays let you upload huge video to there servers and it's free.

Sal..Thanks for the reply. My first hurdle is opening the Phoenix file. It will only open/play within
Phoenix software. So need a video screen-capture program to "film" while playing in Phoenix.

Once this file is "liberated" can upload as you suggested or use a program to reduce bit size
to something reasonable for emailing. Image quality is not too important.
