Default Hi guys...

Prologue....
For a very long time we tried to open a national league of IMAC here in Israel, well that is not so easy since young kids an even adults don't like the discipline, preseverence and patience you need to invest when it comes to fly precise like IMAC.
We have the same story on our F3A section but that is a different story, with IMAC it can be more "easy" since the guys can fly scale aerobatic planes that they love.

So after allot of planning, advertising and public relations, we did our first meeting. it took place on our local flying field.
All we did there for 3.5 hours was to explain the guys what is IMAC, ARESTI and how to do the sequence, we did a demo flight too with our local pilot, who is an IMAC and F3M competitor, Ido Segev.
We will start with the BASIC and then move forward to the next level, not until the guys will get a minimum score.
Of course we will monitor this and see how the guys are getting along with this new thing. most of us are still addicted to the 3D thrill so it will take some time.

The dream is to establish an Israeli National Imac League that will be able to act like you guys, our friends in the west and maybe some day we will come to where it all begun and do some flying with you guys.

Till now we brought like 20 pilots, i hope that more will come.
With that being said, we are having our first contest in two months, so the guys could practise and get good score.

Wish us luck,

Adi

Very good start Adi.
Vhen I started IMAC here in Colorado, in 1992 our first contest had 7 entered pilots.

Adi,

Mate great to see how many people in different parts of the world are thinking alike and really trying to get this IMAC competition into the main stream.

We started off here in Chile almost exactly the same and today there is a good competition with three levels flying. Basic is the biggest with sportsman growing as the sand baggers in Basic get bumped up each year. We have a couple of good guys flying intermediate so slowly but surely the game is growing.

One of the key issues is to lower the stress level for the basic pilots and make the events fun. I see and hear a lot of guys saying how they are finding it hard to break out of 3D and get into a disciplined flight but 99% of them in the end really like the idea of flying to a plan.

My comments are always the same and that is if your flying 3D but cant fly a simple pattern then there is a good chance your ad libbing the 3D stuff. That is the plane goes where it wants to and you follow it around. Whereas in actual fact good 3D is a harder discipline than IMAC so the adherence to your 3D program in time becomes second nature.

It often good to see the structured 3D events where a few compulsory elements are included. That really sorts the true 3d pilots from those who fly where the airplane takes them.

Any way Adi, great to see you guys are having a go and I really beleive once you get over that first hurdle of getting the boys together it will just keep growing.

Good luck and who knows where all this will lead to.

Hey Guys,

I am verry excited about what you are doing! I have been flying for 5 years, and our family is hoping to move to Israel within the next few years. I am good friends with Ido and Yonatan Segev and I am really hoping to get to know all of you. Keep up the good work guys and have fun!

Hey Daniel

Well by the time that you and your family will make "Alia" i am sure that things will look different, for the good side of course.
Hope to see you sooner than that.
