I put the 55 back on there...Anybody want a good deal on a Krill Yak 55. I hate to sell it..but I am really yakked out...just the airframe and a few extras. I will sell just the airframe for $2200.00..I also have a PB Royal (not included) and some other goodies to outfit it as well.

Fortunately..I got a pretty good deal on it..but your right..a new is 4 grand shipped...The plane is gorgeous...I already have a big Yak..I really want an Extra...I dont care for the Extra 260 due to the sloping nose, but the AW 260 scheme does a great job of hiding the slope...I like the single place canopy and the mid wing design...Also the AW 260 42% has counter balances on the elevator which also looks nice. Its as close to a 330s midwing as I could hope for...without being a Carden. Yes..Im nuts..but this hobby is so much fun. Here is a pic of the Yak...

What a joke! Once again, a plain that isn't even available to the public is winning the poles...go figure.
Of the 9 people that voted for the EF, how many of you have actually, personally, flown it???
I really like the way it looks, and it will probably fly very well, but come on!
From personal experience, I voted for the Aeroworks 260. The Yak flies nice as well but is a bit heavier. The fact that they are actually available, should put them at the top of the list, and the fact that you can get 20% off right now should put them even higher.
I like the looks of the JTec, and the price, but have no personal experience with it.
I have been considering the EF as a second IMAC bird, but I will wait until it has a track record...

It is the only Slick 540 I know of - it's not an Edge. At 14, you're gonna have to mow a lot of lawns to get a 40% plane!

And learn to be patient. Slicks are delayed from China again. Won't be here until between end of Dec-end of next Dec. Overseas shipping companies suck!

Go with the EF Extra 300. All the way. All of EFs planes are way ahead of anything else. Much lighter than the AW JTEC etc. Looks much better too. I don't even have to mention flight preformance! It will be well worth the wait!

I have not flown the 300...but I know Chris really well and I have seen him fly it..along with Russel who owns the original 126" prototype. It is an incredibly well built plane...and flies great. I was also there when the plane went in doing some very high alpha low to the ground inverted 3d stuff. It took a big crunch and did not do as much damage as I though it would. No damage to the fuse other than scratching up the cowl and canopy...busted a wing and rudder and that was about it. So the plane is built well..and flies like a dream. Russell had it back out at huckfest 08 and it looked fantastic...

This plane has not been flown since I have owned it. But...the Krill 55 flies great. It is really the closest thing to flying a 40% foamy that I have ever seen....I really hate to get rid of it...but I love my Comp-Arf Yak...and one of them has to go...to make room for an Extra...and I am eyeing a KingCat.

My vote is for Aero-Works QB series and if you are going to get one of the 260's at the Holiday special you better do it fast. I ordered one yesterday and was told that they are going fast.

The best plane out there and a hell of a lot better than any ARF.

If you can't afford it buy a train set.

I had an AW 75cc Extra and have an 85cc Yak. I couldn't be happier with. Assembly is very easy and my Extra flew awesome. I have not doubt there 40% planes are among the best out there!! They are really hard to beat for the price! They often compete with Krill's, Comp's, Carden's, etc... That cost twice as much.

The only AW plane I flew was the 35% 260 and I thought it flew poorly compared to the H-9 260.
Just because one model flies well don't assume the others will.
