Pat seems to like to pick on PAU and EF....or anyone else that might be a threat to Wild Hare. Your interests are pretty obvious T.O.M. I see it in the PAU threads and just about everywhere now.

I think my next 50cc will be either the WH Edge or EF Extra. I flew to covering off my V1 WH Edge. I started with a G62 on it, then put a Brison 3.2 on it, then put a DA50 on it, then finally put a DL50 on it. I crashed it 4 times. Fixed it 3 times... finally gave it to my flying buddy. He fixed it, and is flying today.

I'm here to answer a few questions. The 88" Edge is derived from the 84" with a few changes. Obviously the wings are 2" longer each. The cowl mount is changed slightly so it only needs 2 screws on top, none on the bottom. The fuse is changed to a 540 single place instead of the 540T 2 place. The canister tunnel is longer and obviously the scheme changed. Oh, and I forgot to mention that it's a fast build model, pre-hinged, canopy/hatch is completely finished, etc. The weight is about the same at 16.5 to 17 lbs. One guy reported 14 lbs. 10 oz. finished weight but I think that's probably an error. 16 even may be possible. The first batch was small and sold out quickly. The next batch is much larger and is due here about Feb. 15, the container left the factory about 2 hours ago. TF TF |

Slightly off topic but I have owned two wildhare 84" V1 extra 300 specials and love them. Being a V1 with smaller control surfaces and a little heavier they do have there limitations but I will say they fly very well. Im not going to get into details or throw in other manufacturers names in there but I do think that my current one 3d's better than any other 50cc I have owned.

Have not owned a 50cc in 5 years my last plane was a dalton 42%, people keep telling me 50cc is the best bang for your buck. I had a 33% yak that was a blast. Hope this one is that much fun.

I owned the V1 and also the V2. To date the V1 Edge is by far the model I have had the most fun with. The Tork rolls and harrier rolls are awesome. It torked better than any other plane I have. Only my Carden 40% Extra is on par. I sold the V2 before completeing it but have flown it a few times since a buddy completed it. All I can say is it is a great flying model as well. Tork rolls are very nice.
If the 88" WH Edge is anything like the V1 and V2 it will be nothing short of awesome. BTW I am not being biased since I own two EF 88 yaks as well as well as other EF planes. Now, I hope this thread can return to talking about the 88" edge...as that is what I am interested in reading about when I come here. |

![]() I know...DA engines suck! Buy DL. JR stands for Junk Radio! Buy Airtronics. A123 batteries are for sissies! Use Energizers. I'll see you when you get here... Pack a lunch. BTW bring my Yak when you come. |

Building mine now.. #10. You can sse it in the manual. Got it in Nov. but just now getting to building it. What a nice plane. Taking me a bit longer as it is my first 50cc. Not new tho, been flying planes and helis for a few years. All servos and control rods in. Next to Horizon here so ds8411's in everything and 8711 on rudder. 2.4g 921 and optikill. Silly ole futaba servo on choke.... :-) Da50 on front. No exhaust as yet but would like to go with a canister. And yup... A123's. Tossed them energizers!! (new bunny in town) I did buy the hardware upgrade which has helped me for the most part. Tail wheel blows. Mine arrived bent. Called Wildhare and they are replacing it. Can't wait to fly it. Hope it is as all say they are. Sure looks sweet. Darn cold here.. gonna be a bit of time yet to maiden.

I wanted to add I'm building WH Extra 260 Fast Build. It's coming together very nice., If the 88" Edge is anything like the quality of the Extra you will be happy!.
