The canopy is from a Funtana that also need to be finished. The original canopy is broken and I don't like the shape of it. My new canopy will look a bit like the Funtana canopy.

Nice work on the rebuild.

Here are a couple of shots of my Laser when it was in one piece. The phots were taken at the Rally of Giants in Arnprior, Ontario last summer.

My laser is/was powered by a G62 and flew like a very large trainer. I had an engine failure on take off with nowhere to go. The fuselage back is broken and one wing panel is badly damaged. Apart from that it is OK. I will be starting the repair soon.

Mark.

Nice pictures of your plane. Sorry to hear about the damage. Good luck on the rebuilt.

Hi Everyone; I crashed my laser last year and am wanting to repair it. Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced the plans - can someone measure the wing so that I can have a couple of cores made. I would need the root and tip chord, leading edge sweep and position of the wing tube. Any other details would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Have you received the measurements from someone yet? If not I could do the measurements this weekend from my wing, just let me know.

I finally found my original plans and went to Canada in early september to start the rebuild. A friend of mine cut some new cores for me and I hace set the spars and sheeted them. I used Gorilla glue to attache the sheeting - damn fine stuff that!

The fuselage is back in one piece and has the landing gear back on.

That was all I had time for this vacation. Next time I hope to start covering and maybe it will be flying again next year.

My Laser has been waiting for me more than 6 months now. Not sure when I will start again on this project. Too many other projects to finish, amongst which a MDM Fox aerobatic glider, scale 1:3, span 4,75m
