Below is a list of basic info on various pages to help steer you in the direction of where to find specific info. Not perfect but it is a welcome help. Thanks Marian for putting the list together for me. It takes a bunch of time go go through the 1000 plus photos!
Also, I started sort of mid stream so I hope to update the beginning stages a little as I get some time. 1-2010 updates will be in red. Also, I will add post numbers and page numbers. Post number will be in (), pages normal. Also, Dean, Wayne, Dale and several others have added comments, pictures, advice and information through out the build thread, a big thank you to them for their input and help. I am about 30% through mine so far and was wondering if there was a need to document what's going on to finish it out. Maybe I missed someones thread, not sure. I am willing to post pictures and info if there is a need. I have taken 400 or so pictures of previous builds and send CD's all over the place but never done a thread online. I was thinking more of a build trick, keep it lite, hide a glue joint... type thread since there are so many really good overall threads going on now and in the past on the previous Carden offerings. Also since the 43% Carden is a slight departure in several areas, thought it may be helpful to those looking for a larger Carden but only have the 35% and 40% pool of information to choose from. So, if someone is doing it already let me know otherwise I will start posting pictures. Thanks Will Berninger Last edited by Windecker; 03-18-2010 at 07:50 AM. Reason: update for index |

definitely post some pics!! I have a 43% 260 partially framed up as well. I've got a couple other projects in front of it right now, but plan to do a build thread at some point.

Post it Will.
I know Dean Nistetter is building two right now and I have seen some of his pics. He is doing a really, really nice job. Maybe he can post what he's done as well...

Ok, I will get some info together and start posting in a few.
I have some of the pictures sent to me from Dennis of Deans build, if Rick and Dean are ok with it I can post some of what he took as well or he is welcome to post here. I did not take a bunch of set up pictures so they will sort of start partially assembled. Information is awesome so anyone having info to share with a 43% Carden is welcome to join in. Will B.

Terry Boston built the one that I've been flying. It has the DA200 in it, so you won't be able to compare apples to apples but Terry may have some photos that he can post.

Here is mine that I am presently installing my gear. I am using a DA 170 with KS cannisters and will use Futaba gear all around.
The build went along with no issues and very pleased with the quality of the kit. Something that is expected from a Carden Kit, but the wood in this kit was super. I have not had a chance to weigh the plane in bare framup, so that will have to wait till completed. Can't wait to get to fly this plane.

Cam McCausey Competition Aircraft built my 43% Carden Extra 300 that I flew this year. Later in the year I installed a 64 oz tank - the DA170 loves to drink 93 octane!
