Default Need help !! What plane to buy for a 35cc Engine

Hello all,

I have this Brand new MVVS 35cc 2.15 cu. Engine that is just dying for a new match. I have been trying to decide which plane to buy for this little power house. I am looking for suggestions on which plane to get, I am really fond of the YAK but not closed minded to others. Whatta you guys think ?? HELP !!

Darryl

I don't know if the new 73" Somenzini Yak is too small for this engine... but I nkow some are putting 26cc'ers on them.

I have the QQ 73" plane NICELY BUILT PLANE!
I'm finishing it right now. If that motor is light it will rock the yak.
I have a 26cc motor that AU is about 2.72 LBS. and it fits perfectly.
But I would love the extra HP of the 35cc motor.
I'd say give this plane a shot.

If I were you, I'd just sell the 35cc and get the 45cc instead. That way, you can move up to a 50cc size plane. the 35cc is an older design and is rather heavy for its power rating.

Hi Scorf, I have a 73.5" YAK. Complete (BARE) airframe weighs just over 5lbs and I think I will put the MVVS 35cc in it. I will run a pits style muffler, so don't think it will be too over powered (possibly would be with the tuned pipe). Can always use props and throttle management I guess.

I believe the MVVS Gasser is a sweet engine. I am keen to here how you go with it.

I have the 77 inch Carl Goldberg Edge with a DL50 but I think your 35 would be terrific with it. I'm not complaining about the DL as it has lots of power but the lighter 35 ( I assume) would be better.
