Hostettler 42% NEMESIS

Have any of ya'll built / flown the 100" Nemesis F1 from the Wendel Hostetler plans? I am thinking about having one cut if the the cowl is still available. I won't be using it to race, but I have heard a few of the giant scale racers used them before all the composite birds were available.

If you decide to build it let me know, as I have the landing gear and wheel pants as well as the canopy that I can send your way........acquired a F1 as part of a multiplane deal but ended up scrapping it, as build was heavy and pretty sloppy.

Ugh... if this is the one I vaguely remember.. the airfoil used is a 6 series symetrical NACA.... totally inappropriate for a model.... use an Eppler 374 instead... or even a low Rn symetrical eppler....

I'd rather see someone get use out of stuff that would otherwise jjust gather dust in my garage or basement...........and food pantries can use every bit of help we can give them right now.

You're right! My church is gathering up food for Christmas sharing right now. I'll be taking a large box over in a little while. As far as sharing a dust collecting object, I am about to ship a large box to a fellow up North that is a good builder and will finish out an old project that I'm just not going to get to. I'd be thinking he is good and SNOWBOUND after what I saw on the news last night! I guess a good warm basement is as good a place as any if you can't go out and fly! I hope that Nemesis gets into the air real soon.
