Here is the setup I plan on going with on my QQ Python.
Da100 (lite) Stock Mufflers 1 - 2300 Tanic A123 on ignition 1 - Fromeco Kodiak switch on ignition 1 - Harris smoke pump with small 2 cell lipo for power (no switch) plug it in on days I use it and leave battery out on days I do not. 4 - 8711s on ailerons 2 - 8711s on elevators 1 - 8711 on rudder 1 - servo on throttle 1 - Smartfly optical kill switch 2 - Tanic 2300 A123 batteries for receiver (Deans plug out of batteries) 2 - Kodiak receiver switches, each switch will go from a deans out to two J plugs, total of four J plugs going to receiver for power. 1 - Futaba 6014 2.4 receiver Any problems with this setup? All 14 slots in the receiver will be utilized. Is enough power going to be available from the 4 J plugs coming out of the Kodiak switches? Any other issues or things I need to keep in mind? |

Sounds like a good set-up!
I just picked mine up last night!!! I can't wait. I am actaully doing a very similar set-up. DA100 lite Stock mufflers Fromeco Iron Corp 2400 on ignition through a kodiac I am going to run my harris smoke off my ignition battery. Since I have the kodiac I can monitor the level of the pack and with the low resistance of the packs allows the extra amp draw. NO NEED FOR EXTRA BATTERY!!! Save 3 oz!! For the plane Hitec 7955 throughout with the new 7950 on the rudder or a 8711 if they are on backorder too long. AR9100 receiver with 2 Fromeco Iron Corp Extreme A123 packs 2400 mah going into the receiver. Only thing I am thinking of adding are 2 weasles from Fromeco to monitor the mah usage of my receiver packs. 4 J plugs (each rated ~3amps) that gives you ~12amps which should be more than enough to power all the servos. Mark

Actually having second thoughts about my set-up. Which does set-up seems more logical & easy?
1.) AR9100 with 2 Fromeco Iron Corp Extreme 2400 packs on a soft switch -no way to really monitor the packs unless I put the Fromeco Weasles on each one. 2.) AR9000 with 1 Fromeco Iron Corp Extreme 4800 pack through a Kodiac -only one battery to charge, have the mah readout on the Kodiac. Each set-up is about the same weight. I have both receivers so that is not an issue. Thanks for any input. Mark

I just got mine in as well, what a great looking kit!
I will most likely be running the 3W 110b2 in the front of mine with A123 batteries for power and 7955's on Ail and Elev 8711 on the rudder, maybe 5955 on throttle. |

I like the tip of running the smoke pump off the ignition battery. Thanks. An ounce is an ounce!
