9C and 9Z will allow EXPO to be set per surface,, per direction, per rate ..

If you are using a 6XAs it will allow per surface, per rate only ..

A 9C would be a more cost effective choice. It's stupid simple to program and has all the features you'll ever need. Tx/Rx only for around $400 compared to the 9303's $600-$700.

Does the 9C have flight modes? I don't know how I ever flew without them!

I see that it has triple rates, but is that the same as flight modes?

The 9C does not have flight modes. Flight modes are a great feature and if you feel the extra couple hundred dollars is worth it I would look for a little more sophisticated radio. Most sport flyers wouldn't have much of a use for them. There's not a whole lot more you can do with conditions than with triple rates.

Don't forget, Kyle Woyshnis used a 9c at last years Tuscon Shootout to place 5th in freestyle and wipe the advanced class clean. It's a great radio at a great price.
