Default Could be Full SCALE

Didn't quite know where or if my project should go , so I hope you don't mind here.

Model is 60% P-51D. It's about the size and wing area of Mooney Mite.

Have no doubt, with appropriate reenforcement, surface hinging, widening of cockpit etc, it could be an "Experimental". Model is very accurate museum display.

BTW- the odd Areonca central intrument is from my 1938 KCA.

There use to be company in Phoenix AZ. that made plans for 5/8 scale , War Aircraft Replicas. They had design FW190, Corsair, P-47.This was back in Mid Seventies.
My friend build FW190, with 100 hp Continental. single seat about the size of the Mustag on the pictures.
I use to make metal components for those, retracts wing mounting fittings engine mounts etc.
Plane was like big model , fuselage wood box structure, covered by foam blocks sended to shape and covered with fiberglass and painted, wings were build the same way.
Don't remember the weight.

Thanks for bring the photos to the thread. Im afraid I haven't mastered that ability yet! The model is for display only . It is foam over ply box. All very homebuilt like. however the glassed structure, as is ,only weighs about 350 lbs. NAA 'blue prints' were used for refference.

Is it painted yet? do you plan on painting it?
I'm an aircraft painter in Arizona with a lot of airbrush experience (started out painting custom cars and bikes) I could make it look like aluminum for ya or whatever you like!
Here are a few examples.
