DAG,

What kind of wood are you bolting into for your spar system?
Just Curious?

Last Saturday my son and I preformed the first test on my wing attachment block (made of Maple). At a 48" moment we took it to 110 pounds. If my calculations are correct, the force on the wing attachment block is about 340 pounds. For both my spars to see that kind of load (340X2) I believe the plane would be pulling over 8+ G's. I think my balsa spars and shear web will fail at about 6-7 G's. That is were my wing 1.0 failed at in testing.

I know my math is very crude, but from the moment calcs I have found on the net I know I am close.

This is very cool. CF laminated on wood is so cool, and light.
I am getting really excited that this beast is nearing it completion.

Here is what I got done this weekend. I have to go back to NY tomorrow until Wednesday.

The RX system, RX battery system, and air system is coming together. I can't really start testing the air system until the RX system is installed.

Thanks, DAG

Dag you should do a raffle.....guess the power draw..... For 38 servos and maiden flight, how many mAh power used per minute....give the winner an autographed photo of the plane....could be fun.
