Right!
Here is what I got done today, and these wire-keeps are out of this world cool. These wrie-keeps have made my project so much easier to manage all my wiring and air hoses, not sure how I would have gotten everything to fit as nice.
I had to move some airtanks around to get everything to be easy to get to for servicing and maintenance. But she is really coming together.

Thanks, DAG

Nope,
All my war-birds that are electric have never had a chaffing problem. If it was a gas banger, or 3D(high G's) I would.

Today I took the retracts back out of the airframe. I had to take every bolt and nut and loctite them. I also had to adjust the centering of the arms, and adjust the ultimate travel of the air cylinders. I hope to get the retracts back into the airframe and hooked up to the air system for testing by next weekend. If that all goes as planned I will be right on schedule.

I also did a test of my air disconnects, I put a tank on a gauge with a disconnect between the input valve and the tank. The system held 100 psi for 3 days with no loss of pressure. I would say the Robart disconnects work just fine.

Some may ask why I am mixing Century Jet parts with Robart, the reason is that in testing the Robart retracts valves are easier to access than the Century, and the Robart disconnects use rubber "O" rings.

I also threw in a few pics of me and my son with the airframe, and outboard wings. She really is big bird.

Dag, on the retract cylinders, how do you plan to secure them to the airframe? The only reason I ask, is on my P-51, sometimes when I fill the tank it wants twist and come lose. I was surprised when I saw the cylinder lose in the airframe once. I then did a test with the wings off and sure enough when filling, the bottle would spin then twist out of the Velcro!

They are not lose, they are attached to 1"X10" ply with industrial Velcro like the kind used in sercuring the top of a full scale hot-air balloon. I had to reinforce the ply as the first time I removed a air-tank the Velcro did not want to let lose and ripped out the plywood.

Thanks, DAG
